Well since this is day one of the blog I thought I would add a further video tutorial which I created for Eat3D discussing Physical Based Rendering.
This is more of an overview but does incorporate Substance Painter to demonstrate some key aspects of PBR and information from the Marmoset Toolbag Learning Center.
I hope this helps demystify some of the terms of PBR and how it can be used in a practical example.
While I am adding some tutorials, which hopefully will be useful to you, I also wanted to make sure you were aware of the amazing application Substance Painter. This application allows mesh painting across all texture maps simultaneously using the Physical Based Rendering model or even the previous generation Shader set up.
Offering features such as the particle brush, stencils and substance effects it opens up new possibilities and speed in the texturing workflow.
Substance Painter has just hit official 1.0 version status and has really made an impact within the digital art community with its robust integration with Substance Designer.
Check out the overview video I recorded a few months ago, but it is still relevant to the latest build.
Ensure you check Allegorithmic’s site for the latest build information.
